Coron is a small island is a part of the Palawan province in the Philippines. It is a smaller, more pristine and more quiet version of El Nido. The tourism hasn’t fully reached here yet. This old fishing town is slowly starting to transform into a somewhat more touristic place and starting to welcome the tourists to explore. 1. Dive into the epic Barracuda Lake

One of the most epic and beautiful things you will see around Coron is definitely the Barracuda Lake. To see this lake you can take the CORON ISLAND HOPPING TOUR B. 2. Swim in Twin Lagoon

3. Swim in Lake Kayangan

4. Soak in Maquinit Springs

You might wonder who would want to visit hot springs when they are in the Philippines and the temperature is reaching 30 degrees. Our answer is: A LOT OF PEOPLE. These beautiful natural hot springs are found just a 20-minute drive away from Coron town. This is probably one of the most relaxing things to do in Coron, except laying on the beach. The hot springs reaches temperatures of 39-41 degrees so it’s recommended to go here when the sun has already set. They are also one of the few saltwater hot springs in the world.

This place closes at 8 pm but they close the entrance gates at 7 pm. The entrance fee is 200 pesos per person. The hot springs consist of one bigger pool and two smaller ones which are surrounded by a big picnic area. The whole area is lit up by lovely lights that make this place feel magical. There is a change room in the area and you can also buy some snacks.

5. Hike Mt. Tapyas

The last of the 5 epic things you can do in Coron is to hike up to the lookout in Mt. Tapyas in Coron town. This makes the perfect spot to see the sunset over the bay. The epic view from the top stretches from Coron Town all the way to Busuanga Island. This hike has 721 steps. If you are going for sunset we recommend you to start the hike one hour before the sunset. Then you can also can enjoy the view in daylight. There is not much to see during the hike up, you will mainly focus on just making the way up in the heat. It is first when you reach half ways you will start to get a glimpse of the view. After you have made your way on the top, the view will be rewarding!
